How to use NextSalahClock
Search for your city to see today's prayer times and a live countdown to the next prayer. Each city has its own page you can bookmark or share.
Open Settings (the gear icon) to choose your calculation method, Asr school, high-latitude rule, 12 or 24-hour clock and minute adjustments. Your choices are saved in this browser.
Use the plus and minus icons to resize the clock, and the expand icon for a fullscreen display suitable for a wall screen or prayer room.
Reminders work only while the page is open. For reminders on your phone, download the calendar file from the monthly timetable.

Frequently asked questionsAll FAQs
How are prayer times calculated?
Times are derived astronomically from the sun's position over your exact coordinates: solar noon anchors Dhuhr, twilight depression angles anchor Fajr and Isha, and Asr follows the shadow-length rule of your chosen madhab. We use the open-source Adhan engine, verified against published timetables.
Which calculation method should I use?
Choose the convention your local mosque follows. NextSalahClock defaults to the most common method for each country (e.g. Umm al-Qura for Saudi Arabia, ISNA for the United States), and you can change it anytime in Settings.
Why is my city's time different from my mosque's printed calendar?
Mosque calendars often add safety margins, apply juristic preferences, or publish iqamah (congregation) times rather than prayer start times. Use the per-prayer minute adjustments in Settings to align exactly with your local calendar.
Do prayer times account for daylight saving time?
Yes. Every city page uses its own IANA timezone (e.g. Europe/London), so DST transitions are handled automatically and the countdown stays correct across clock changes, midnight rollover and sleeping browser tabs.
