Who we are
NextSalahClock is run by the NextSalahClock team, based in the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, email hellonextsalahclock@outlook.com. Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, we are the data controller for the limited data described below, and Google is an independent controller for the advertising data it processes.
Data stored on your device
- Your preferences. Theme, clock format, calculation method, Asr school, minute adjustments, saved cities, your default city and reminder settings are kept in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us.
- Location (optional). If you press “Use my location”, your browser gives the page your coordinates once so it can find the nearest city. They are used on your device only and are not stored or uploaded. Permission is only requested when you press the button.
- Notifications (optional). Reminders are scheduled in your browser while the page is open. Permission is only requested when you choose to enable them.
Advertising and cookies
NextSalahClock is free and is supported by advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, where you agree, personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.

Your consent. If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as fraud prevention and frequency capping. You can change your choice at any time: (the link appears once advertising is active).
Ads are never shown on the embeddable widget or the fullscreen clock, and they are never placed over prayer times or the countdown.
Server and hosting logs
Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or sign-in.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not collect your precise location on our servers.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data, and object to or restrict its use. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are best handled by clearing your browser's site data (which removes your preferences) and using the cookie settings above. For data held by Google, use Google's privacy controls. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data-protection authority.
Children
NextSalahClock is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
